1st birthday

Whilst we were away the boys turned one year old. It was lovely to be able to spend their birthday with their family, especially those who hadn't seen them much or at all throughout the year.

I ordered their cake from a nice little bakery on phillip island and would be picking it up their birthday morning.

The morning of their birthday, their dad, papa and two uncles all went fishing for our dinner.

A group of people sat on a little boat in the ocean freezing their gills off! I was happy to stay in bed with the boys. Luckily for me, when they woke up at 6, I got one into bed with me who promptly fell back to sleep and 10 minutes later the other did exactly the same!

When they returned 6 hours later, we were greeted by this successful haul!

Not a bad days fishing!

Later that day we took the boys to the beach for one last swim in the sea before we had to get ready go home, as before, they loved it.

They do love the sea those boys.

All three of them.

The night of their birthday we had the fish that were caught earlier on in the day and they were barbecued. Then we sang happy birthday . . . . A few times. And blew out candles . . . . A few times.

Of course I let them get their hands in as it was their first ever birthday,

It was a great day. Shame they will not remember that we travelled across the world for their birthday. Maybe on their 10th birthday we will do the same and re visit when they had their first!
