Fathers day - From the boys to Mark

 For Daddy...

Hand prints on the cupboards
and toys all over the hall
The loo's stuffed up with toilet roll
and there's mud on the wall.

Pulling out the kitchen drawers
Running up and down the stairs
 There's stains on the sofa
and no cushions on  the chairs.

 Splashing in puddles
and collecting sticks.
Throwing stones off bridges
 and sometimes some bricks.

Wrestling and mud and cars and noise
Its pretty clear to see,
you're the dad of two boys.

Lots of love Sam & Fin xx

Fathers day - for my dad

For my Dad..(stolen - not written by me!)

He never looks for praises
He's never one to boast
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most
His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too
He's there.... A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.

Love you Dad xx

May and June

Its been such a long time since I last posted. Not much has changed recently apart from improved talking and a total personality switch! I will touch open that over the next few days, but before that, haven't taken the boys to a play group, apart from twins club for a very long time. I don't know why really. Now they go to nursery a few hours twice a week, that's two days filled really. So what have we been doing over the past month??? To be honest, not much but we do have a few trips planned over the July and August which I will be sure to post about.

 Making cress heads
 Making crowns
An afternoon at the pool. Despite my intentions of a lovely sunny afternoon at the pool, the boys hated it and would not go in without me, even though it only came up to their shins!
 Ice cream!
 Discovering trees.
 More ice cream

Pizza Friday! A new tradition in our house.
Scuttle bugs at the Hatton Arms
The afternoon that Sammy couldn't sleep but as soon as i got in his cot with him - out like a light! With my arm stuck underneath him!
 Sharing sun cream.
 Sammy in sunnies!

We have been doing a lot of water play in our garden this month. With the lovely warm days all the boys need is a plastic bucket full of water and a few toys. Lasts them ages and it also means they don't need a bath that night!
